Made in the West TV crew call out!

Guess who’s back? Back again on set!

Still Searchin’ Productions is pleased to say that we will finally be getting back in the TV studio soon to produce TWO half hour talk shows with the winners from our 2020 and 2021 festivals!

We’re calling out for WSU Creative Industries students and alumni to JOIN US IN STUDIO for two live recordings of Made in the West TV over the summer. If you’re interested in working with us, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for camera operators, a floor manager, audio operators, a behind the scenes photographer, even a makeup artist!

The show will be hosted by Rachel Morley, multi-platform storyteller and host of TVS Shelf Life (and Made in the West fan, might we add!) -- she is a huge advocate for Western Sydney film and we are so happy she’ll be joining us in the studio on this project.

Rachel will be chatting to the 2020 and 2021 trophy-winners in the studio, discussing their latest projects, the festival experience and the amazing filmmaking scene here in Western Sydney.

So we'd like to say GOOD LUCK to all of this year’s entrants! You could be one of the three lucky filmmakers to join us in the studio to promote your latest project and talk about your journey as a filmmaker. What an amazing prize!

We’re pretty excited to be able to offer this kind of publicity opportunity to local filmmakers and we have to say a HUGE THANKS to our Gold+ Screen Sponsor, WSU School of Humanities & Communication Arts for this generous prize -- two full days in their state of the art TV studio in Parramatta!

The TV studio features Grass Valley LDX Series Cameras with Teleprompters, Vinten Osprey Pedestals, Yamaha DM1000 Audio Desk, LSC-VX20 Lighting Control, Ross Carbonite Xtreme Switcher, Xpression Prime Graphics, KiPro SSD Players/Recorders, 10GE Media LAN to Edit Suites/VT Rooms and a Green Screen Cyclorama.

We know this studio costs a pretty penny to hire, so we feel damn lucky to be getting in there with some of Western Sydney’s best local filmmakers!

And the icing on the cake?

We’re producing the shows with WSU alumni and students. How great is that!?

Nearly ten years ago when Still Searchin’ held our first short film screening night as third year students at WSU, we really couldn’t have imagined it would result in something like this.

We are beyond stoked to be given the opportunity to get back in the studio soon to produce both of these shows with SSP and our WSU student and alumni crew, because we know that getting names in the credits is one vital piece in the puzzle when it comes to promoting the creative talent that lives here in the West.

We’d love to see YOUR NAME in the credits for our third and fourth episodes of Made in the West TV.
